treasures
I like to collect things! All kinds of things. Especially, rocks, feathers, leaves, bones, and dead animals. That sounds pretty bad, dead animals and bones but it not really. Now I don't go looking for the objects that make up my collection. Usually I just find them.
Yesterday while doing chores across the road in the barn, I spotted this butterfly. It was hanging from the ground wire for the electric fence. I think it got a little "shocked" because by the time I was with my chores it was lying dead on the ground. This one is a Eastern Tiger Swallowtail.
Some things are found for me by others.
This egg my mom found lying on the ground out in the hot sun. I cleaned it out and washed it, so it wouldn't smell like rotten eggs. This piece of Fulgamite came of a large piece that my neighbor found while out working on a downed power line. Fulgamite is sand turned to glass by lightning.
The Cicada skin we found in the garden, mommy watched while the cicada crawled out of it.
This bone and shell I found in our creek, I have know idea what the bone is from.
This piece of fur I found lying on the ground out by the pine trees, near the pond. I still don't know how I found it out there, but I did.

My guess is the bone probably came from an animal of some kind.....
The fulgamite is cool.
Cool stuff. (The bug skin is kind of creepy so we'd have great fun with it around here).
@P_Obrien - No duh. Mr doyle got me the Fulgamite.
