For my DAD!
I wrote this several years ago. It still holds true.
Daddy
You are always there for me.
For your service there is no large fee.
Just a kiss, a prayer, or a hug.
Even if I do bug.
When I was little, you were tall.
And you easily catch me when I fall.
Through my joys and my tears.
You have watched over me through the years.
And I still do.
Really need you.
Even though I don’t say it often.
“Thanks for being there” you’re not forgotten.

It rhymes, barely.
@maplemonkey - What do you mean! It rhymes exactly as i want it to.
You want it to rhyme barely?
Just kidding. Not too bad. It's hard to find anything that rhymes with often, other than soften, coughin' and offin'. Or you get really creative and go with toughen, roughen, muffin, stuffin', oven, shovin', orphan (with a british accent). Other than that I think that's the vast majority of them.
Poetry is all about practice. You're pretty good.
@P_Obrien - Thanks.
